Beginner Quilting Basics Class

Learn the fundamentals of quilting in a friendly, relaxed setting at T’s Quilty Corner. This in-shop beginner course is perfect if you’ve never quilted before or if you’ve dabbled and want a solid foundation

You’ll work on a beginner-friendly project from start to finish, with hands-on guidance at every step. Class sizes are kept small so you’ll get plenty of 1:1 support and time to ask questions.

Location: In-shop at T’s Quilty Corner, Al-Rayyan, Qatar. All core tools are provided in the studio; a supply list for fabric and notions will be shared upon registration.

Confident Beginners

Skill Level: Confident Beginners

Confident beginners quilting class that focuses on elevating basic sewing skills to precise quilting techniques, moving beyond simple patchwork into block construction, accurate cutting, and finishing skills.

In this confident beginners class, you will choose from the following project ideas: quilted table-runner, placemats or a stunning sampler quilt (recommended for multiple block practice).

  • Learn 4-patch & 9-patch Blocks (taught in two ways), Disappearing Blocks & Rail Fence Blocks
  • Wavy, Cross Hatch, Matchstick & Spiral Line Quilting
  • Seven Types of Borders

Intermediate Quilting Class

Skill Level: Intermediate

Intermediate quilting class for those skilled quilters, focusing on advanced precision, tackling complex piecing, and introducing new techniques beyond simple squares.

Key skills include mastering 1/4″ seams, curved piecing, foundation paper piecing, machine applique, and setting blocks “on point”. Projects often involve intricate patterns like Dresden Plates, Lonestars, or curves.
